Tamarindo: This is probably the most famousbeach in CR, it has many tourists come to it. This beach has shops along the edge, so it is a good place to go for souvenirs.

Shopping: The closest place near Liberia for shopping would be Playa del Coco. It has one main supermarket but warning: everybody here speaks Spanish. If you are shopping for clothes or souvenirs, they have LOTS of small stores for you.

Food and drink: The water here is OK to drink, but the bottled water is perfectly safe. The food is not memorable, but it is alright.
Safety: You should keep all valuables in a hotel safe, because things have been stolen. Never walk alone at night in an uncrowded place, and don’t keep your wallet in your back pocket. There have been reports on stolen passports, too.
